 New Orleans-born (London-based) rising Soul artist Acantha Lang has been compared to soul legends Gladys Knight, Aretha Franklin, and Nina Simone. She just released her highly anticipated debut album ‘Beautiful Dreams’ which charted #3 on The Official UK Jazz & Blues Album Charts and has garnered critical praise from the press including Blues & Soul Magazine, Echoes Magazine, Relix, American Songwriter, & many others. She also gained praise from Craig Charles (BBC 6Music Funk & Soul Show) who distinguished Acantha as "brilliant… an independent artist destined for world domination”.

‘Beautiful Dreams’ arrives on the heels of other huge achievements for Acantha.  In 2021, she was awarded ‘The New Artist of the Year Award' by The Soul Tracks Readers' Choice Awards & 'Blues Artist of the Year Award' presented by Jools Holland (Boisdale Music Awards). On May 13th, she made her USA TV debut on the acclaimed CBS Saturday Morning show, where she performed 3 tracks from the album to over 3 million viewers. The Recording Academy/Grammy’s featured Acantha’s moving version of Simon & Garfunkel’s ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ (famously covered by Aretha Franklin) in their ReImagined series on Grammy.com.
